Fundraiser: The Songfire Sessions #2

Tickets here

Come join us for our second Songfire Session at the beautiful and intimate Fremantle Church, where you'll be in for a night of gorgeous music from Rabbit Island, Monti and Max Barton.

The cold weather is in, so we're switching outdoor fire pits for indoor candle flames. But our mission remains the same - let's gather together to listen, commune and raise money for the vital fight against climate change.

We will provide non-alcoholic mulled beverages and snacks.

The first Songfire Session raised $800 for climate initiatives. All profits from Songfire Session #2 will go towards DISRUPT BURRUP HUB, a movement who are sounding the alarm against the expansion of Woodside's activities in the Burrup Peninsula. The expanded mine is damaging over a million pieces of Aboriginal rock art, has annual emissions greater than the rest of Australia's carbon footprint combined, and during its lifetime will produce 6 billion tons of CO2, enough to fill the entire Grand Canyon with greenhouse gas.

Rabbit Island - Friend to all, Fremen to some, Amber Fresh as Rabbit Island will woo you gently into submission, to the granite, to the moss, to the Spirit of The Big.

Monti - Monti has music in their sinew, bones and soul. Their voice is like an invitation into another world, and you definitely don't want to turn the invite down.

Max Barton - Musician and multi award-winning theatre maker Max Barton creates mournful, strange and ear-tingling sounds. "A half-remembered song falling into melody, with the people you love buried between the notes" The Guardian. Max will be joined on stage by Monti and the inimitable Cecilia Brandolini
